Course Description
This is a traditional layout that follows the natural contours of the land and has most of its trouble in forested areas off to the sides of the Bermuda fairways. Its challenge is its Tiftwater Bermuda greens, which, from the fairways, look fairly flat-- a visual deception that makes them all the trickier when you reach the putting surface and find subtle undulations and multiple tiers.

Calabash is a former recipient of Golf Digest's 4-Star rating, and is considered especially suited to seniors, juniors and women. Calabash, designed by Willard Byrd, in a traditional layout that is challenging yet player friendly, follows the natural contours of the land and has most of its trouble off to the sides. With over half of the course having some water in play, this course is a good challenge for all skill levels as well as a fun day of golf. Calabash Golf Links is located in the coastal area of Calabash, North Carolina, approximately five miles from the NC/SC border. The Sunbelt Senior Tour, DuPont World Amateur Championship, local players and tourists have given Calabash Golf Links overwhelming accolades regarding playing conditions, fantastic greens and hospitality.
